Get professional sharpness on your edge with our simple three-step guide. Set the angle, sharpen, and hone your knives for lasting sharpness.
1. SET
SET PREFERRED BEVEL ANGLE
17° is a good angle to start with if you are unsure of what angle to choose. A small angle will cut more easily, while a large angle will give a stronger edge.
2. SHARPEN
SHARPEN ON BOTH SIDES
Insert the knife into the guide. Follow the shape of the knife and apply only a gentle pressure. Make sure you put the knife into the clamp.
3. HONE
HONE TO FINAL FINISH
Remove the burr and polish both bevels of the knife on the honing wheel. This gives you a razor sharp and durable edge. Always hone AWAY from the edge.

Can I use the T-1 for all my kitchen knives?
Med sin innovativa design och tillverkad av de bästa materialen kan Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener slipa de flesta typer av köksknivar. How does warranty work?
Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener has an 8-year warranty, 5 years + 3 years, upon registering the machine at tormek.com, within 90 days from purchase. It is valid for all parts of the Tormek T-1 and covers material- or manufacturing defects. The Tormek warranty guarantees the function of your machine but does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse or mismanagement. Valid with proof of purchase. The warranty of 5 or 8 years is valid for home use only.
If your Tormek T-1 needs service - please contact the place of purchase in the first instance. The problem can be often be solved over a phone call or by sending a spare part. Do not return the machine without agreement with the point of purchase.

Since 1978 you find us in Lindesberg, in the heart of Bergslagen, Sweden. This is were all our machines are developed, designed and manufactured.
